AGGRESSION
- Setok and his Finnish friends will organize the next ALTernative Party in
Helsinki, Finland in early January 2002. More information to follow at this
url http://www.fishpool.com/alternative-party/
>> or read the ALTparty 2002 infofile <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AVENA
- Lately some crazy rumours associated famous coder Tat to Mr Pink and Griff
into working on the first Falcon emulator on PC called "Falcon Powder". But
shortly after Tat said on DHS bbs that it was only an idea that had popped up
in drunk minds :) Too bad.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BLIND IO
- He entered a screen to the summer online compo
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHECKPOINT
- Defjam presented a screen to the summer online compo tho no one expected a
move from him, great ! No news tho about their demo due to be presented at
Eil 2... :(
- 505 also entered the compo with a soundchip while Modmate was forced to give
it up after a crash occured :(
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CREAM
- Tao also entered the online compo but seems to be the only Creamy active :(
Really too bad since the last entries on their diary referred to a Creamy
meeting related to HEFTIG. Better be a lot more patient.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CRUOR
- Their Wings Of Deathlike Falcon shooter developped under ANVIL SOFT label was
finally given away some weeks ago courtesy of Milhouse. You can get it on
dhs.atari.org (september news). Don't miss our review of PAINIUM DISASTER.
>> see Painium Disaster review <<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D.H.S.
- Both Evil and Gizmo entered the summer online compo, yep two screens by DHS !
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
- Evil released several update of his ASMA collection (now it should be 2.2).
- Their next demo will once again make full use of accelerated Falcons, maybe
on CT60 if it comes out soon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DUNE
- Tho they announced in the endpart of their demo with Sector One ODD STUFF
that they promised to give us ILLUSION this year... it seems things are more
delicate than expected for ST Ghost who has to debug messy code. Also Chuck
doesn't seem to care a lot... No other project is -officially - known.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EFFECT
- Last time I entered #atariscne topic was "will there be an Industrially Safe
#31 ?". Should we really expect a release soon ? Maybe it's reviewed here so
better check it yourself.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ESCAPE
- No showed us his ST skills with a screen for the online summer compo.
- They have a new member nicked SPEX who also presented a screen to the compo.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
- No said in his interview that there may be another ESCAPE demo next year.
Yummy !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FIT
- This Finnish crew announced an invitation intro to the next ALTernative Party
so better check boards soon ! No bigger project is known.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FOUNDATION TWO
- Back in September Mad Butscher organized the second Unconventional Party but
it mostly drew 8 biters to this second edition. People who attended said they
had a good time tho and that's the main thing about a party.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FUN
- They released a small intro on Falcon in collaboration with Zerkman of Sector
One.
>> see FUN and SCT1 Falcon intro review <<
- No news about their next demo... I hope Earx hasn't given up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MIND DESIGN
- Deez kindly gave us the cool Falcon intro you've just been enjoying with this
issue of Alive! Thanks a lot Fredrik.
- No news about their Falcon demo unpresented at EIL2 because of remaining
bugs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MYSTIC BYTES
- They have been very quiet and silent lately... Should it mean that they are
inactive or on the contrary that they're working on a new demo ? No idea. I'm
just asking :)
- Next issue of Polish diskmagazine CHOSNECK is still under construction.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEW
BEAT
- They released an update to FLEXTRACK that is said to improve a lot of specs
as well as it fixes some bugs. They're presumably still working on their new
tracker ACE...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PARANOIA
- Paranoia released an improved version of Rock Solid and it really changes a
lot of things and only in the best way so I suggest you visit their HQ at
paranoia.atari.org and download ROCK SOLID+
- Paranoid couldn't finish his online compo entry but I hope we can see his
intro someday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PHF
- Grazey is still working on his ULTIMATE MUZAK DISK xxxx and so far his intro
is about 14 minutes long. Final one should even reach 21 minutes !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PYJAMA
- EXOCET released a picture for the summer online compo as well as another one
to the VIP2 party held last summer.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RESERVOIR GODS
- As you read this their CHUCHU ROCKET for STe and Falcon is almost ready for
release ! Now they are focusing on their next game that "implies lots of
vegetables" :)
>> See ChuChu Rocket review <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RODOLPHE CZUBA
- Latest rumours stated that the CT60 could be available by the end of this
year !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STNICCC
- The missing entries to the STNICCC compos are still... missing :( But you can
find a lot of party photos at http://stniccc.atari.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECTOR ONE
- They released a short Falcon intro with FUN which means they're officially
moving to Falcon hehe :) I'd love to see what they can do with the bird !
>> see FUN and SCT1 Falcon intro review <<
- Zerkman and Edo also entered the summer online compo with a screen and a
picture.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STAX
- They were reactivated enough time to present a screen to the summer online
compo. Should it be seen as a return ? Future will tell.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEENAGE
- KWEEK seems to be sleeping but I hope I'm wrong as Phenomenon said he was
coding "stuff" :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE
BLACK LOTUS
- An unfinished Falcon demo called OUTFAST was given us by Paranoid who seems
to have hidden treasures on his harddrive :) Check our review of their demo.
>> see Outfast review <<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOXIC MAG
- The magazine has gone online lately meaning it will _only_ survive with this
format :( Still Strider needs writers (what main editor doesn't) to keep this
magazine alive. Note that Toxic Mag now comes both in French and English and
can be found at toxicmag.atari.org
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TORMENT
- Spiny entered a picture for the summer online compo
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T.O.Y.S.
- They released a bugfixed version of WAIT that now only requires 4Mb of ram.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TSCC
- UCM22 is still under construction and no release date (nor hint) has been
given.
- Their coder, Ray, is working on a portiing of Wolfenstein3D for the ST. A
preview should be promoted in this issue.
>> see Wolfenstein 3D on the ST
- MC Laser has just released the sequel to FADING TWILIGHT ! You can fully and
freely enjoy FT Excerpt Two from http://tscc.atari.org
>> see Content of Fading Twilight Excerpt Two
- Both MC Laser and Ray entered the summer online compo.
>> see Summer Online Compo Megademo review <<
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WILDIRE
- In spite of their great discretion, news was spread on DHS that they were
about to release a Falcon intro as the invitation to the next ALTernative
Party. Let's wait what WF will be capable of on Falcon !
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YES
CREW
- SWE has just released a GEM application for you to enjoy GT2 files. Here
comes what SWE has to say about it : "I was bored, and it was a nice
opportunity to try GEM programming... atm no VA_Start or Drag'n'Drop are
supported.. I plan to do that.. if there will anyone actualy use the app :)
Do not hesitate to visit yescrew.atari.org to get the latest version of this
accesory !
