Previous issues You can find all previous issues of Alive on this page, the current issue can be found at the latest issue page. If an issue doesn't fit on a DD disk, we have made split versions available. So users of 720 kb floppies can also enjoy Alive on their machines. If you have trouble running Alive you might want to replace the shell program with the most current version. Since the newer ones contain fixed and improved shells.
Alive 1Click on the picture above to download the first issue of aLive! (770 kb packed!). It not only features about 70 articles, nice chippies, a module on Falcon and many pictures but also a cool intro by GGN/KuA. You can also download the extra sources provided by Evil and which illustrate his demo coding tutorial. Last but not least, note that this magazine runs on ST/e and Falcon (both RGB and VGA). We hope you'll enjoy it !
Alive 2Click on the picture above to download the second issue of aLive! (710 kb packed). This issue was so fat with articles that we decided to put as many articles as possible and then use the rest of them plus many Error In Line related items into a special issue. check the latest issue section . This magazine runs on ST/e and Falcon (both RGB and VGA). We hope you'll enjoy it !
Alive Special Edition (Error in Line 2001)Click on the picture above to download the Error In Line 2 special issue of aLive! (730 kb packed). After that great Atari party, held in Dresden, came to an end we had so much to enjoy that a full issue was really needed ! Many reviews, party reports and stories can be found here. Feel the party atmosphere. Many thanks are sent to Escape and Checkpoint for organizing such a cool event. You are invited to visit the official EIL 2 homepage. As usual this magazine runs on ST/e and Falcon (both RGB and VGA). We hope you'll enjoy it ! section. This magazine runs on ST/e and Falcon (both RGB and VGA). We hope you'll enjoy it !
Alive 3Get ready for AliveCUBE ! Download size is about 770 Kb and gathers 70 articles, the usual 3 cool chips plus one module as well as a really great Falcon demo coded by Deez of Mind Design. St users shouldn't mind and load the mag as usual. Some bombs may appear when loading the intro on ST but instead the mag will be loaded. The intro runs perfectly on standard and
Alive 4It's time for another issue of ALIVE (750Kb packed). It took us about three months to get this one completed but once again we've put the best of us in the 70 articles we bring you with news, interviews, demos and games reviews, party reports and much more ! As usual this issue works on all STs and Falcon, either RGB or VGA. Enjoy it now !
Alive 5
Hello and welcome to aliveFIVE !! Due to lack of space I had to make two versions of this issue. The only difference between the two of them is that the ST version (750Kb zipped) doesn't have a module and only features the ST intro (sounds logical) while you'll be able to enjoy both the soundtrack and the second intro (Falcon only) with the Falcon version (about 1Mb packed). We hope you'll like this issue and drop a comment on our forum !
Alive 6
The saga continues ! Alive has grown 2 years old and we're still here, maybe even offering
better quality issues than before ? :) Well this time about 70 articles (including some really lengthy ones !!) plus the usual nice piccies, tunes and an ST intro, brought to us by MJJ Prod. The Falcon intro was cancelled due to unkown bugs that will postpone it to... really can't tell but I hope it'll see the light of day ! In the meantime run download AliveSX (800Kb) and enjoy !
Alive 7 (Error in Line 3)
It took us about 7 months to release another issue after lack of support and motivation but better late than never as we say ! So once again we are still ALIVE with this fat issue enclosing a nice ST intro by Jace/ST Knights (with help of C-rem/MJJ Prod and DmaSc/Sector One) and tons of articles mostly based on the latest great Atari event, I'm talking about Error In Line 3 of course ! Please be careful when downloading this issue as it comes in two versions ! You can either get the FULL version (1Mb packed) with great module by Damo/RG if you have a Falcon or an St with harddrive or get the LIGHT version (770Kb packed) - with fake module and fewer snapshots only - for standard ST users.
Alive 8
This issue was quite late and was of course the last one with ST Sturvivor as a main editor. Anyway once again the ALIVE team has released another fat and hopefully interesting issue. Like before it comes in two flavours ! You can either get the FULL version (a bit under 1Mb packed) with great module by Damo/RG if you have a Falcon or an St with harddrive or get the LIGHT version (850Kb packed) - with fake module - for standard ST users. As for splitting the file I suggest you read the intructions posted on DHS utils page.
Alive 9 - Alive meets UCMAlive 9 took us 11 month to collect all the stuff and make a magazine out of it. This issue is really FAT. Alive 9 features music by 505/Checkpoint and Nemo/DHS (Intro), a menu graphic by Mic/Dune and the stunning title picture by C-Rem/MJJ-Prod. Thanks to the scene for all the cool contributions. Machines higher than ST you will have to SWITCH TO ST-LOW RESOLUTION before starting the shell, otherwise it will not start at all. I am sorry for this mess but its better than a crashing shell I think. There is something else, this mag is huge, the article stuff compresses to something around 1,1 MB which means you are pretty much fucked if you only have a plain ST without a HDD. Anyway we believe every serious Atarian owns at least one machine with a HDD so this should not be too troublesome. However if there is still demand for a single disk compliant mag we will split the mag, use our forum to put in demands :) So far for the bad news, what's the good ones? Alive comes bundled with two major releases:
Additionally we have included some sources and executables you might like (check the FILEZ folder) Now you can download the Lite Version as well...
Alive 10 (Outline 2005 Special)Only three month after the release of issue 9, the alive team strikes back. This issue is about half the size of the last one, we hope you will enjoy it nonetheless. Alive 10 features music by GwEm, Crazy Q / DHS and Marcer / Atari Legend / Elite. The stunning title picture and the menu gfx were done by our star artist C-Rem/MJJ-Prod. Thanks again to the scene for all the cool contributions. Like last time on Machines higher than ST you will have to SWITCH TO ST-LOW RESOLUTION before starting the shell, otherwise it will not start at all. I am sorry for this mess but its better than a crashing shell I think. So far for the bad news, what's the good ones? Alive comes bundled with a few releases again:
Like last time we have included these treasures within the FILEZ folder of the disk, check it out! Finally the lite version is available too...
Alive 11Finally Alive 11 is released. It features music by GwEm, Crazy Q / DHS and Marcer / Atari Legend / Elite. Like most of the times the stunning title picture was done by C-Rem/MJJ-Prod. Menu Graphics by Cyclone/X-Troll. Alive comes bundled with a few releases again:
Like always you can find these treasures (except for Wolfenstein 3D, which is simply too big) within the FILEZ folder of the disk, check it out! It seems Wolfenstein 3D has some trouble with HD-Driver and HuSHI, but it seems to work fine with the ICD Harddisk-Driver. Until Ray comes up with a fix to that problem I recommend using a RAMdisk to play it. If you need the Lite version of Alive for DSDD drives (720 kb) you might want to try these two MSA-Files: Alive 12Almost on schedule Alive 12 is released. It features music by Crazy Q / DHS and Nemo / DHS. Again the Xmas title was done by pixelmaster C-Rem/MJJ-Prod as well as the menu graphics. Alive comes bundled with a few goodies again:
Like always you can find these treasures within the FILEZ folder of the disk, check it out! Finally the lite version of Alive 12 is here, if you only have a computer with a 720kb floppy you probably want this MSA-Image. Alive 13Alive 13 is here and we are on schedule this time. It features music by Crazy Q / DHS, SH3 / Reservoir Gods and Marcer / Atari Legend. Unfinished title and menu graphics by Cyclone / X-Troll. You can also view the intro by Defjam / Checkpoint Alive comes bundled with a few goodies again:
Like always you can find these treasures within the FILEZ folder of the disk, give it a try! If you need the Lite version of Alive 13 for DSDD drives (720 kb) you might want to try these two MSA-Files: | |||||||||
