----------
INVITATION
----------
We are happy to invite you to Outline!
Outline is an Atari demoscene party that
will take place at Easter 2004 in the
east of Holland.

The party will be a great opportunity
to show your creative skills, have a
beer with your friends and ofcourse we
will provide enough space so you can
use or show your hardware and software.

Although Outline is mainly an Atari
oriented event, we are also welcoming
like minded sceners using other
platforms for creative purposes.

-----------------------------
PARTY LOCATION AND FACILITIES
-----------------------------
The location for Outline 2004 is:

Kampeerboerderij "Beusink"
Lievelderweg 106
7137 MC Lievelde
The Netherlands
http://www.beusink.nl/

Lievelde is a very small village in the
east of Holland, near the German border.
The area around the partyplace is mainly
in agricultural use or forest.

"Beusink" is a traditional farmhouse
converted to a group accomodation. We
are renting one of the two main halls,
and the sleeping area above it. There
are toilets in the main building, and
a block of showers in a building about
10 meters from our main hall. In between
the two buildings is a huge terrace,
to the sides are a football field, a
campsite and plenty parking spaces.

There is a busstop and a railway station
at walking distance from the party
location. Unfortunately there are hardly
any shops in the village of Lievelde
itself, but there are several villages
with better facilities nearby. In case
you do not come by car, the organisers
will make sure you can still buy some
party groceries, either by delivery to
the party place itself or by a shuttle
service to the supermarket (depending on
demand for these options and practical
considerations ofcourse).

Ofcourse we will provide the usual food
delivery options such as pizza, kebab,
chinese, fries, etc, and you can also
buy cool drinks for very reasonable
prices at the party place.

The main hall has suitable audio
equipment, and D-Force will provide us
with a beamer (thanks!). There's a table
and chair for every visitor, and some
relaxing benches as well (how many will
depend slightly on the number of
visitors). A bar with a fairly wide
selection of drinks is available upon
enough demand, and those who visited PMP
will be happy to hear there's a kitchen
table and possibilities for a campfire.
Unfortunately we are lacking funds to
dig a pond for the PMP duckies, but you
can once again put up a tent or caravan
outside the party place if you prefer
that over the regular indoor sleeping
area.

In case you have a family, you may be
interested to hear there is a bungalow
park quite close to the party place.
The organisers will be happy to assist
you with getting more information and a
price quote for this option.

partyplace an extra compo is organised.
You can enter any type of digital media
as long as it is displayable by either
an unexpanded Falcon or a Windows pc.
Please note that entries will get only
2 minutes playing time on the beamer,
but feel free to deliver more media to
the organisers. Delivered entries should
contain at least some reference to the
party, either through the location or
the visitors that are displayed, to be
considered for display on the beamer.)

- GAME COMPO

If you use a different configuration,
please bring your own machine, or
contact us to check if we can run it on
available hardware before the
competition. The exact config will be

Entries made by people who have not
bought tickets for the party will be
allowed in the competitions, but cannot
win any prize besides fame.

Our aim is to satisfy the customer. If
you are coming to the party, and would
like to present a production that does
not fit in any of the categories
mentioned above, please contact the
organisers and we will try to work out a
deal that's agreeable to both parties.

Prizes for the compos are yet to be
announced, but due to our tight
budget we can already tell you that they
will be mainly symbolic. We would be
very interested to hear about any ideas
you may have to improve this situation,
and we will keep on trying to find more
sponsors ourselves.

-------
TICKETS
-------

A ticket for the entire party (4 days
and 3 nights) costs:
                                 30 EURO

A single day ticket (valid for 24 hours
excluding the sleeping area) costs:
                                 12 EURO

PLEASE NOTICE:

The sleeping area is limited to 80
visitors, so the number of full tickets
is also limited to 80. We recommend
booking your tickets well in advance to
avoid disappointment.

Girls do not get free entry.

We realize that these prices are higher
than Atari sceners got used to in recent
years. This is mainly because the party
is held at a commercial location, unlike
previous parties which were usually in
schools, universities or clubhouses. We
tried our best to get such a location
this year too, but failed. So we decided
to go for the next best option, which is
(in our opinion) a commercial location
that may not be the cheapest, but does
offer very good value for money.

We would also like to stress that even
though the party location is commercial,
the organising team is working on a
strictly non-profit base. Any profit the
party will generate will flow directly
into the competition prize fund, and any
money left after the competitions will
be donated to a worthy cause. For
example, after PMP we donated the
leftover funds to Atari.org.

----------
TRAVELLING
----------
By plane: The preferred airport for
travelling to this party is Amsterdam/
Schiphol. Flights from nearly every
major airport on the planet arrive there
on a daily basis, and travelling from
the airport to the partyplace is easy
because of the excellent railway
connections. A trainticket from Schiphol
to the partyplace is ~20 Euro each way,
or 12 Euro for Dutch students and people
travelling along with them.

Other airports within driving distance
from the party place include Rotterdam,
Munster-Osnabruck (Germany), Niederrhein
(Germany) and Eindhoven. If you can get
a flight to one of these airports for a
lower price than you would pay for
travelling to Schiphol, the organisers
can provide you with information on how
to get from any of these airports to the
partyplace. Contact us for details.

Please note: We will try to provide an
airport pickup service. This should
reduce the travel fee considerably, but
since there are only 5 organisers and we
also have a party to take care of, we'd
really appreciate it if you could
contact us before booking tickets, so we
can work out a deal that's agreeable for
both parties.

Some indications of ticket costs we have
received from various sources include:-

Stockholm 1120 SEK
London 66 UKP
Manchester 54 UKP
Helsinki 175 EUR
Marseille 168 EUR
Geneva 235 CHF
Berlin 58 EUR
Oslo 118 EUR
Los Angeles 440 EUR
Kathmandu 644 EUR
Melbourne 850 EUR
Paramaribo 1493 EUR

Some of these prices were found on
regular online booking systems, so there
is a very good chance you will be able
to find a better deal from a cheap
vendor in your own country.

Please contact the organisers if you
need any assistance regarding flights to
the party or extending your stay in the
Netherlands.

By bus: From busstop "De Beusink" you
will be able to see the partyplace.
Alternatively, you can take any bus that
stops at railwaystation "Groenlo-
Lichtenvoorde" and follow the directions
given in the train section. Please refer
to http://www.9292ov.nl for an up to
date timetable.

By train: The railwaystation "Groenlo-
Lichtenvoorde" is located at walking
distance from the partyplace. Don't be
fooled by the name, it is located in the
village of Lievelde despite carrying the
name of two other nearby villages.
(Welcome to Holland btw.) When you
arrive there, walk through the village
on the "Lievelderweg". About 8 minutes
down the road, the partyplace will be
on your left hand side. Please refer
to http://www.ns.nl for an up to date
timetable.

By car:
From the north(east): Travel to the city
of Enschede. Exit the highway and travel
towards the city centre until you
reach the ringway. Get on the ringway-
it runs around the city centre and is
marked with signs saying "RING" every
couple of hundred meters. Look for a
sign saying Haaksbergen/N18, and follow
it. Keep driving on this road, and you
will pass towns called Haaksbergen,
Eibergen and Groenlo. After about
35 kilometers, just after you drive over
a viaduct, look for the sign saying
"Lievelde" and follow it to the right.
After about two hundred meters, you will
reach a T-junction. Turn right here, and
after about 100m "Beusink" is on your
right hand side.

From the west: Get on the highway to
Doetinchem (A18), but stay on the
highway once you reach that city. Follow
the highway until it ends. Turn to the
right at the traffic lights, and follow
the N18 for 14km along the towns called
Varsseveld and Lichtenvoorde. Look out
for a sign saying "Lievelde", and follow
it to the left. After about two hundred
meters, you will reach a T-junction.
Turn right here, and after about 100m
"Beusink" is on your right hand side.

From the south: Travel to the city of
Bocholt, Germany. Most likely you will
be taking Exit 5 (Bocholt, Wesel) on the
highway running from the Ruhrgebiet to
Arnhem and Amsterdam (A3), and then
drive towards Bocholt on the B473. When
you reach the T-junction in Bocholt,
turn to the right and keep following the
road you're on until a sign for Aalten
appears. Follow this sign to the left,
and after a while leave the town of
Bocholt. After you cross the Dutch
border, you continue to travel on the
N313 along the towns of Aalten and
Lichtenvoorde until you reach a junction
with a rather big road (the N18 to
Doetinchem and Enschede). Head straight
on over the junction, and after about
two hundred meters, you will reach a
T-junction. Turn right here, and after
about 100m "Beusink" is on your right
hand side.

Hint for all car drivers: If you take
the *second* entry onto Beusink
property, you can park your car within
meters from the main hall. Please do not
keep your car parked there for a long
time so others can save some meters
carrying their equipment too.

-----------
PARTY RULES
-----------
First of all, we would like to say we
have a lot of confidence in the visitors
we are inviting to this party. Some of
the organisers have been going to Atari
related Easter parties for more than a
decade, and in all those years the
number of unacceptable incidents has
been negligible.

However, we feel that setting a few
clear guidelines will help everyone to
make the party even more enjoyable.

- The organisers are very tolerant, but
there are limits. Please treat other
  people and their property with
  respect. Illegal and/or destructive
behaviour will not be accepted and can
lead to removal from the party.

- No smoking in the main hall or
sleeping area. Please step outside or
use the reserved spaces as appointed
  by the organisation. Weather allowing,
chairs and benches are allowed to be
  taken outside to the terrace.

- Do not use electric waterboilers,
  microwaves, barbecues and other
  devices that could possibly endanger
  the stability of computer systems
  within the partyplace. Please contact
the organisers before setting up such
  equipment.

- We are only renting half of the space
available at "Beusink". Please do not
install systems or sleep in areas
other than the main hall or the
  sleeping area.

Thank you for your participation in
making this party a success.
