TIME FOR NEW
CHARTS
Charts ? Hum that rings familiar but when did we last have some ? UCM wise the
last time you could vote for and read charts was in August 1999. Since then no
other diskmag has been willing to set up new charts and actually no one asked
for them. The Scene rate of activity also went down after the first EIL and
didn't require that the charts were reactivated. Now more than two years later
I believe we have enjoyed enough new demos both on ST and Falcon to see if
things have changed in your hearts !
BUT... There is a but. These charts will indeed be reduced to interesting or
valid sections, ie not "best util" or "best cracker"... We'll try to focus on
active fields like demo coding, gfx painting, msx composing and so on. Also
results will be given when I receive at least 40 votes, in other words you
could read them in the next issue or within a year, depending on people's good
will. As usual, just use the 'SAVE' option from the shell bar to edit this
text and fill in the blanks. Then send it to survivor@atari.org
You can ONLY vote for productions released between 1999 and now. I don't want
to read that Flip'O is the best ST demo or that Xenon II is the best game.
We've had enough of these charts mixing active and inactive people. Names
that may not meet these rules will be removed from voting sheets.
For each category you'll be invited to give in your five favourite, knowing
that we're talking about points here following Evil's way of counting which
seems the best and easiest solution. You only have to type a name in front of
the number of points you want to give him. You don't have to find 5 names if
that seems impossible to you. Also you can give 5 points to an entry and 2
points to another one and not add the missing entries. Last but not least do
not hesitate to mail me at survivor@atari.org if you think rules aren't clear
or if something's missing or wrong.
